Warazaiku Workshop

This workshop is an introduction to the Japanese straw craft warazaiku (藁細工). During the artist Miao Li's residency in Eiheiji, Japan, he learned to work with rice straw from local farmers. In this workshop, he will teach participants how to make rope and ornaments from rice straw. Participants will sit on the floor and work with both their feet and hands.
