Architecture and urban planning: especially during the reconstruction period, this was a typical male stronghold. It was extremely difficult for women to work as architects. Nevertheless, there have certainly been a number of women who have created beautiful designs in Nieuw-West. Urban planner Jakoba Mulder is a well-known example of this.

Ride along and discover what women have built in Nieuw-West. It is high time to also put women like Manon Peyrot, Koos Pot-Keegstra and Janneke Willemsen in the limelight. Who were they? What was their input? What do their buildings look like? This bike ride takes us to 10 surprising projects by female designers and architects.

Note: You need your own bike for this bike ride.
